Fact. The Brits have so much better TV then the states.

and HANNAH FUCKING MONTANA.

They invented:
Doctor Who.
Merlin (which is fucking awesome, by the way, I am really enjoying it, even if it did start out like Homo Soap Opera Festival).
Robin Hood.
Sapphire and Steel.
Being Human.
Spooks.
Torchwood (which while silly is actually entertaining, not stupid-silly).
Top Gear (FUCK YEAH BIG, FAST MACHINES).
Hell, even their soap operas are more fucking interesting (also they have actual homos in them +1 for equality.)

WE ALMOST had a good thing going back in the 90s before they killed Buffy, Farscape, and other such cool things. That said Monk and Bones are pretty good, as is Stargate: Universe. NO RESPECT TO CSI, WHICH IS AWFUL. And nobody get me started on the travesty House has become.

IF YOU WATCH GLEE, AND YOU HATE ON HIGH SCHOOL MUSICAL, YOU ARE A BIG, FLAMING HYPOCRITE THANKS.

I am really tired of people telling me Glee is "deep" and "thought provoking".

Glee is one of those things that makes me lose all faith in the American public's taste in television.

Also I hate you for wasting 3 million dollars per episode on a rehash of "Saved by the Bell" with bonus musical numbers when shit like "Firefly" gets pulled after a single season.

I'm allowed to be angry about this because Glee's huge production values, like I said, three MILLION dollars per episode, are killing far more interesting TV shows and have been the death of at least ONE documentary. I'm sorry documentaries that would actually be useful are being stripped by High School Musical: The Series. Why does stupid musical drama get to stay on when well written shows get thrown off? Seriously, all of Ryan Murphy's work is the same damn thing!

(In addition, Glee is on a FOX channel, which if I need to explain, you need to educate yourself about your news channel choices a little better. Hint: That guy a few posts down? The ranting one? Yeah. He's on one of them FOX channels too.)

What is your job or profession's do-all "duct tape equivalent"? That is the thing that is absolutely essential, that if you have enough of you can do anything with, that you could not go a day without? It can be physical or not, tangible or not, but something you can't go without.

- GAFFER'S TAPE. Holy shit this stuff. Tape down cords! Tape down backdrops! Tape down anything sticking up! Tape the back of the clothes together if it's too big! Tape your camera to the wall for weird angles! IT FIXES EVERYTHING.
- C-stands. HOLDS ANY LIGHT YOU NEED IN THE STUDIO.
- Grip Clip. IF YOU CAN'T TAPE IT, YOU CAN CLIP IT. Also works on clothes, tools, broken anything, et cetera. IT DOESN'T NEED TO LOOK GOOD IF YOU CAN'T SEE IT IN THE PHOTOGRAPH. And it only needs to hold together for a
- The Camera RAW plugin. THANK YOU GOD. You can't fix totally broken things with this, but it definitely comes in handy for some iffy shots that you need to work.
- Clonestamp/healbrush combo! Nothing can't be fixed with this.
